About Us

In 2021, we welcomed our puppy Daisy (a spunky Shorkiepoo) into our lives. From the very beginning, she had a personality full of charm and curiosity. Her very first toy was a tiny plush squeaky bear, and it quickly became her favorite companion. She carried it everywhere, and it soon became a symbol of comfort, joy, and the special bond we shared.

Later that year, I began sewing bandanas for friends and family, simply as a creative outlet fueled by my love for pets and handmade design. What started as a small passion project soon grew into a tiny Etsy shop, followed by participation in local markets, SPCA fundraising events, and community pop-ups. These experiences inspired the creation of SewXtraCo, a brand founded in 2022 that specialized in handmade pet accessories and walking gear.

One of our most meaningful milestones was the launch of our very first walking gear set - lovingly inspired by Daisy’s beloved plush bear. That same sense of sentiment, craftsmanship, and intentional design has continued to guide us.

Over the past year, I felt called to grow beyond our original offerings and explore new areas of pet fashion and elevated pet products. From that vision, XtraPup was born - a brand inspired by our spoiled pups and the love we pour into them. Honoring where it all began was essential, which is why we carried forward the cherished teddy bear tradition into our Sweetheart Teddy luxury knit bandana.

We are incredibly excited to begin this new chapter and grateful for the support that has brought us here. We can’t wait to see what the future holds and to continue creating thoughtful, beautifully crafted pieces for the pets who mean everything to us.
